Getting started

How fast can I get set up?
Most carriers are fully onboarded within 24 hours of signing up. We upload your driver roster, enroll everyone in the D&A consortium, pull initial MVRs, and build out DQ files as a batch. For new entrants, we can accelerate this further if you're already in your audit window.
Is there a setup fee?
No. We don't charge setup fees, onboarding fees, or "migration" fees. Your first charge is your first month's retainer, and that's only after your 7-day free trial ends.
Do I sign a long-term contract?
No. We operate month-to-month. Cancel anytime with 30 days notice. We believe if we're doing our job, you'll never want to leave.
What if I'm switching from another consultant?
We handle the migration. Send us whatever files you have — in any format — and we'll rebuild them properly inside the X3 platform. Most transitions take 48–72 hours with zero disruption to your operations.

Pricing & billing

Is the $797 flat rate all-inclusive?
For the Fractional Safety Director tier, yes — DQ files, drug & alcohol consortium, unlimited Clearinghouse queries, ELD/HOS log audits, IFTA/IRP/UCR filings, audit representation, training access, and support are all included for up to 25 drivers. The only optional add-ons are continuous MVR monitoring, dashcams, and dedicated consultant calls.
What counts as a "driver"?
Anyone you put behind the wheel of a commercial motor vehicle. That includes CDL drivers, non-CDL drivers operating CMVs over 10,001 lbs, leased operators, and owner-operators running under your authority.
What happens if I go over my driver count?
We'll let you know at renewal and either upgrade you to the next tier or add drivers at $25/driver/month on the Fractional plan. No surprise charges mid-month.
Can I downgrade or cancel anytime?
Yes. Log in, click Downgrade or Cancel, done. We'll export all your data and send it to you in a clean handoff package. No guilt trips.

Services & compliance

Do you handle audits on our behalf?
Yes. Audit representation is included in the Fractional Safety Director plan. We respond to the investigator, produce the records, and attend the audit with you — whether it's a New Entrant Safety Audit, a Compliance Review, or a rapid audit triggered by CSA scores.
Are you a TPA (third-party administrator)?
Yes, we run a DOT-compliant consortium/third-party administrator program. Drivers are pooled with other carriers for statistical validity on random draws, and we manage the entire lifecycle — selection, scheduling, MRO review, SAP referrals, and Clearinghouse reporting.
Which ELD providers do you work with?
All major ones — Samsara, Motive, Geotab, Omnitracs, Verizon Connect, EROAD, Trimble, Teletrac Navman, JJ Keller, and more. If you already have an ELD, we'll integrate. If you don't, we'll recommend one that fits your operation and size.
Do you help with state-level compliance too?
Yes. We handle state DOT filings where applicable — intrastate authority, state-specific hazmat registrations, weight/distance tax filings (Oregon, New Mexico, Kentucky, New York), and specialized permits.
What if my drivers don't speak English?
We have Spanish-language driver materials and training modules. FMCSA still requires English proficiency under 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2), but day-to-day driver communication, training, and the self-service app are available in Spanish.

Data & technology

Where does my data live?
In a secure cloud platform we operate, with encryption at rest and in transit. You own your data 100% — we'll export everything to you on demand, in CSV, PDF, or JSON.
Do drivers need to install anything?
They can install our mobile app (iOS + Android) to upload documents, view HOS, complete training, and accept dispatches — but it's optional. Everything is available by web browser as a fallback.
Is the platform really US-based support?
Yes. Every member of our compliance team is US-based, and our phone support is not routed overseas.
